Eiffage Kier fights period poverty for International Women's Day

This year, Friday 8 March marked International Women's Day, and at Eiffage Kier, we decided to do something a little different to mark the event. In conjunction with Women in Rail West Midlands, we took part in the Red Box Project, which aims to supply girls living in poverty with sanitary products during their period so they can continue with their education uninterrupted.

In the week leading up to International Women's Day, we placed a large red box in the kitchen and invited our staff to donate sanitary products or money, which was then sent on to the Red Box Project in Birmingham to distribute to poorer communities in the local area.

By Friday that week, our box was overflowing, so thank you to everyone who donated. You can find out more about the Red Box project here.
