Eiffage Kier celebrated an impressive 6 shortlistings and 2 wins at the National Centre for Diversity's Grand Awards (FREDIE Awards) on Thursday 17 January at Earl's Court, London.
FREDIE (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Engagement) has long been the golden thread that we have sown through our business values and culture, and we were thrilled to be able to showcase our achievements and be recognised by the National Centre for Diversity.
Chris Read picked up Procurement Manager of the Year while David Lowery won Director/Board Member of the year.
Our other nominations included Best EDI Lead (Elena Gonzalez), Best EDI Initiative (Chris Read), Best EDI Steering Group and Most Improved Organisation. Both awards were presented by HS2 EDI Lead Mark Lomas, who was a guest speaker at the event.
This marks a real change in the way the industry operates and Eiffage Kier is proud to be leading in the EDI space as one of very few construction companies present at the event, which was open to all UK industries.
