Information for attendees

Arrival time: 8.00am for registration and Drug and Alcohol (D&A) testing.
Finish time: Approximately 15.30

Late arrivals will not be admitted once the session has started.

You must be on the register to attend. Those who are not on the register will be turned away – receipt of directions does not confirm registration.

If you have a HSPS card from another HS2 project, please present to induction staff on arrival. Refer to the image to the right if you are unsure.

Drug and alcohol testing will be carried out as part of the induction

D&A testing will commence at 8.00am. Please ensure that you do not drink or eat after 7:30am on the day.

Before a drug and alcohol test can be undertaken, you must give consent. In order to give consent, you must understand the information given to you, therefore if any you are unable to fully understand the information being provided, the drug and alcohol team may decline to undertake a test.

If you are taking or have taken any over the counter or prescribed medication, please can you ensure that you bring this medication in its packet with you to the induction.

Driving to the venue
FROM THE NORTH

60 minutes south of Birmingham with access along the A43 dual carriageway off the M1 motorway.
FROM THE SOUTH
-
90 minutes north of central London using the M40 motorway and A43 dual carriageway.
Follow signs for through traffic past the circuit and drive for a further mile, then turn left in to the Blackpit Estate. Induction parking is approximately half a mile into the estate on the left next to the venue.
Please be aware that there are speed cameras within the estate with a 20mph limit.
On site parking is restricted, please only park in the allocated area. Please reverse park.
The closest railway stations are Milton Keynes, Banbury and Northampton, all approximately 13 miles away. Taxis are available at all these stations.
There are no suitable bus routes/stops within walking distance.
