Administrator
As an administrator, you would make sure the day-to-day office tasks run smoothly. With experience and work-based training, this role could be promoted to Senior Administrator, Secretary or Office Manager.
What would I do?

Dealing with the post

Setting up meetings and takings minutes

Making travel arrangements for staff
Possible duties:

Skills needed
Your role would be office based, so smart workwear would be required. In some situations, a uniform may be provided. Generally working hours would be Monday to Friday, 35-40 hours per week.
What to expect
Salaries

Salaries can be between £12,000 and £20,000 a year, depending on where you work and what your duties are

An Office Manager may earn around £30,000 per year
-
Formal qualifications could include an NVQ in Business and Administration, BTEC in Business Administration or Diploma in Administration
-
An Apprenticeship
-
A good level of English and Maths will be required as a minimum
